End of week 18~

A friend of my flat mate has asked me a question few days ago. He is from Greece and he asked whether I prefer studying in UK or my own country and whether I will work in this country after graduation. I would say I kind of fall in love with UK when I was eight, came to do a summer course somewhere in St Edmunds. People are extremely nice and helpful, the environment is comfortable and I just love it.
I told him that I would love to stay but in fact I won’t. Perhaps it’s a terribly difficult time now and I do not want to stay away from my family anymore. Nevertheless, UK undoubtedly is one of the best places that you can meet people from many different nationalities, almost all around the world. I watched a video which names “Survival guide” from the lecture today. It is about a multicultural team with eight different nationalities working together, all the difficulties that they overcome and how they get along.
I found it interesting because I found that most people said that they are open to every single cultural differences, in fact they just can’t and it’s really hard, sometimes I found myself have difficulties in doing that too! I would say it is a huge task with lots of barriers and lots to learn but when time passes by, I am sure I can do it, or at least better than now because I have get into a really horrible situation last term!
I am pretty sure that I won’t regret coming to UK after my graduation even my family are thousands miles away.
Well, my friends from other universities have got their first term results already! People always says year one is not that important as other years, but still, I am so anxious about it!
